I've loved everything I've ever tried from Soul Taco! I'm always impressed with the size of the portions and how flavorful/colorful the food looks. My favorite tacos are the cornmeal crusted catfish, buttermilk fried chicken, and shrimp po' boy. The tortillas they use are great quality -- they don't easily break like some restaurants. They also have unbeatable deals during lunch and happy hour! Perfect place to check out if you're in the mood for tacos with a twist.

I'm a sucker for fusion tacos, so I'm a bit biased here, but I really love what Soul Taco is doing. It's tacos + soul food and the creativity here is pretty fun like the Cornmeal Crusted Catfish, Chicken Tinga Jambalaya, Country-Fried Carne Asada (!?, never had it, will have to try next time). These are foodie, showy tacos so you are getting into that 4-5 dollar per taco price point that you will find at a lot of newer taco spots in the city. The portion sizes are quite generous, and I found myself feeling pretty full after only 2 tacos. Of all of the similar foodie taco spots, this would be my favorite just because of the creativity and diversity of the menu. They also have a $2 select tacos happy hour which is a great deal. What to order: Cornmeal Crusted Catfish - every piece of catfish is really nicely crispy and the flavor combo with red cabbage works well

If you ever wondered about a fusion of Southern food and Tex-Mex, come to Soul Taco to try it! Everything we got was very yummy. The Mac & Cheese quesadilla sounds funny but was delicious. I also enjoyed the Jerk Chicken taco and Buttermilk Fried Chicken taco. The vibe inside is very relaxed and everyone working there was really nice. They also have a nice beer selection. Highly recommended!

We stopped here because we originally saw it showcased on Triple D and we love tacos. It's a small place but cozy. We ordered at the front and sat down to wait for our tacos, which was brought to our table. We ordered jerk chicken, buttermilk fried chicken, pulled pork, and shrimp. Jerk chicken - delicious and just as spicy as you might expect from jerk Fried chicken - really good Pulled pork - I wasn't a fan, but my husband loved it Shrimp - OMG, these are amazing. Highly recommend Definitely going back to try other tacos.

Great tacos and other foods with flair and the flavors to match! They have multiple veg taco options although the Buffalo cauliflower taco was not available when we went. I do suggest they double up on the tortillas as they were splitting for both me and my partner as we picked them up. Also my partner felt that the hush puppies lacked the normal hush puppy texture. I had one and nonetheless enjoyed it. Also, excellent responsive customer service. We were in town for the long weekend but the majority of businesses were closed, so I messaged their social media account and they responded back immediately to confirm they would be open tomorrow. However the next day they decided to close one of their locations, and they notified me in the morning. Super fast, friendly and thoughtful will definitely try again when I'm back in town!

Rating for takeout. Easy ordering online, lots of ability to customize the order. I am vegetarian and was pleased with the meatless options available. Food was also pretty unique. Pricing was very good!!! Is recommend 2-4 menu items for a meal depending on how hungry you are. I was happy with everything I ordered. Fresh tasting, fun flavors and textures that worked well together. Pricing is very reasonable too. The interior is pretty tiny so I'd definitely recommend it for takeout.

Flavorful and good-value! Got several tacos to-go and they were all delicious! The Oxtail and pulled pork tacos were packed with flavor and super juicy. Also tried Mac n cheese quesadilla which was less inspiring. My only issue was the small containers of condiments were a little frozen.

Cool small place. This place is good. They know how to do tacos and not your typical tacos either. These are killer tacos. My wife ordered the jerk chicken and the 7 layer dip Gordita. The jerk was spicy and tasted great. The Gordita was great flavor. I ordered the oxtail and the pork carnitas. Both were similar in taste but were very tasty and good combinations of flavors. It was a great stop on our trip. And then we found out that triple d was here as well.

The tacos I ordered: 2 camarones 2 chicken tinga jambalaya And 5 other tacos I can't remember. That's probably a bad thing. The inside section they have set up to order to go can only fit 2 people and the girl taking the order was rather rude about not passing a version point in the restaurant. Afterward her attitude changed and she was more pleasant. We were told our tacos would take 20 mins, it took about 40. Then when we got our orders, they were in the wrong bags and we didn't realize it until we had eaten each other's food. Overall, pretty good tacos, but some improvements need to happen.
